Hey everybody :)
So in the last progress update, I mentioned that the plan was to spend the first half of the week script-writing (and also smoothing out the two animations I was working on), and then switch back over to rendering halfway through. However, when Friday rolled around, I had a bit of an epiphany: why not extend the script-writing phase for the entire week? It's not like I'm not going to get a lot of renders done in three days anyway, and instead, I can use that time to maybe finish off writing the script. So that's exactly what I did.
The script for v0.3 is now officially wrapped up! We're looking at a planned 500 new renders stemming from that new script, and combining that with the renders already completed, it seems v0.3 will feature around 800 new renders. Just to put that in perspective, the render count for the previous two updates combined, was around 600 renders (roughly 300 renders each).
And those two animations that I mentioned earlier? Well, I finished posing and polishing them, and have completely rendered the both of them out as well! This was actually another reason behind the decision to focus solely on script-writing this week. It allowed those two animations, which ate up about a combined 65 hours, to finish rendering out.
So the current tally for v0.3, is 288 renders, and 3 animations. I hope that me prioritizing script-writing over rendering this week, doesn't come off as not having made progress. If anything, I actually ended up working harder this week than I did the last. And now it's just smooth sailing from here on out! I don't need to pause to write script anymore—I can just render my way to the finish line, where the only left to do will be the final polishing. I look forward to pumping out 150-200 new renders this upcoming week, and then breaking down how it all goes for you in the next progress update.
To wrap things up though, of course I couldn't leave this progress update without a render to accompany it. And instead of spoiling the animation's contents, or using an older render from last week, I made this render to showcase what the past week has looked like for me :)
But as always though, thank y'all for your continued support, and I'll see you guys in the next one!
