Dev Update #5 (15/12/23)

Hey everybody :)

Render Progress: 206 renders, 1 animation

Not much to say for this update except that progress is going well, I'll have 270-300 renders for next Friday, and maybe more for v0.2. Not sure though, because at some point, I have to stop rendering and get everything ready for release.

I still have to do post-work in photoshop for all 300 of the renders (I've only done post-work for the preview renders that I've shown), then I have to actually put everything together and see how it plays (right now v0.2 is still a folder of renders and a text document of dialogue) . In that process there's going to be a lot of changes I'm sure. Removing renders, adding renders, fixing renders and a crap ton of changes to dialogue to perfect it as much as I can.

I'm also messing around with Adobe After Effects to try to add some cool effects to the game, more on that later.

Then I have to look at getting the game on Steam, not sure how easy or hard that process is, as I still haven't done any research on it, but that's also on the agenda before release.

The main thing though will be just putting the game together, and making sure the quality is there in terms of dialogue, story, and renders. This will take around 2 weeks I think, so if I want to release it for purple-belts somewhere around January 7, then I'll have to stop rendering and get ready for release sometime around Christmas.

I know last week I said I was done with the Jiu Jitsu renders, but I completely forgot about Hailey's Jiu Jitsu lesson. But that's all wrapped up now, and you can see a little preview in the preview render above. Right now I'm in the middle of you meeting Emma's niece Abby, in which you're going to have a nice dinner with her and the rest of the household, and then a little fun activity with Abby and Ava, but I don't want to spoil too much. There's also a lot of story content in v0.2, so I think you guys will really enjoy it.

For my purple-belts, you can expect the monthly wallpapers to either be posted this weekend, or early next week.
