Got some interesting designs to show off from the Death Vapor front.
-Working on the design of the main protagonist... Just been calling her Death Angel, but think she also needs a proper name. Her provocative design plays with the duality between chaos and tranquility.
-Background assets for a rocky canyon environment. Made a quick process animation of the main steps of creation. I could definitely get more granular and present this concept in a tutorial.
Also been in the lab playing other shumps. Finally, got a legit 1cc in arcade mode of Esprade recently. I thought it was impossible when I first started playing, but I steadily grinded my way to success after months of practice. Nothing beats a gamer high achieved purely on skill, which is the main hook of shmups. I know it's not for everyone, but I really hope more people can discover the true satisfaction this timeless genre can deliver.
