July Schedule 2024

The calendar design has gone dark mode. It was well overdue for a refresh, but the change was spurred on by recent changes in my work flow. I finally got off the Adobe teat, and canceled my creative cloud subscription last month. Yeah, I have issues with the new user agreement, and their push for AI driven tools, but the bottom line is, it's just too damn expensive. Having used their products for nearly 3 decades, there's going to be some growing pains, as I transition to different apps. While I regularly used several Adobe products, mainly, I used Photoshop for all my pixel art and frame animation. In its place, I will now be using Aseprite. The app has come a long way over the years, and the transition has been pretty smooth so far. There are a few things I miss, but some key aspects are superior. I'm sure I'll discover more things to love about it as I get more used to it. That's right folks, I'm an Aseprite bro now.

it's been a stressful month as I explore new tools, but also exciting. Illustrator and After Effects are harder to replace, but far less critical to my work. I'll try my best to keep up pace and bring you all the variety of contents as usual. This month I'll be dropping a mega Pixelcast, as well as a new Pixelblog. Better get to it!

Most of these assets can still be acquired from the Shop. After all these years, the downloads have become oversaturated, and tedious to dig for the most valuable content. I'm slowly streamlining over time to only include the most recent, and high value downloads for Pixel Producer Patrons. Furthermore, I made a new collection of only the assets packs. Even with all those deletions, there are currently 32 available!
