Conundrum in the Mall Parking Lot

Getting stranded like this? I blame this country’s over reliance on automobile-centric infrastructure. More pedestrian & bike lanes. Wide ones too. For these types of unforeseeable situations.

Though yeah, she probably shouldn’t have sassed that clerk. With the mall dying & all, sure they might have some of the weirdest shops now, but she had the trademark wide brimmed hat. The top of it kind of came to a point? What I’m saying is this probably could’ve been avoided, s’all.

So this is that warm up I had done shown as a WIP along with the last comic page. It’s something that isn’t on the road map, but July didn’t go quite according to plan & while strides are being made towards the stuff on there, none of it is done & I was starting to feel the need to post something. I AM working on things, just a bit scatter shot & all at once.

The Bellflower chapter is pretty far along, but I kept having to rewrite the open. It was feeling redundant but then some of the subsequent attempts didn’t feel quite as right? But the whole part goes on a quite bit longer than I like.

The fanart entry is rolling ahead. It was promised back in the beginning of this year but I stalled out on it because the anatomy was kind of goofy. I reworked it & now feel a little more confident with it. But it’s also too detailed.

The animation? I’ve started. It’s a simple piece based on a thing I saw a concept artist post on instagram. In all honesty, that might take a backseat to other things because…

The next Spice Up Your Life page is actually moving along too. As is Katelyn’s… well… It’s much less dense than the previous page so shouldn’t take AS long. And moving forward I think a lot of them will generally be a lot looser? Here’s to hoping.

On top of that, in trying to warm up for Bellflower yesterday, I started writing a new little thing off the cuff. As of now, it might be a vignette, but I kind of set up a very vague premise for the expansion in it that I like a little too much…? So it might go long or maybe be a series of vignettes but that’s something else that came up, not on the roadmap.

And on top of even that, the poll continues. I think you have just over ten days of voting still as I post this. I think typically everyone that usually does already has but a friendly reminder (as a fan of ranked choice voting myself) you can vote for multiple options should you so choose. Personally I think it makes for more interesting outcomes, but if you’re the type to just wanna go ‘NO! This is my ONLY VOTE!’ I get it. I just want to make it clear that the option’s available. That should hopefully be what I cap this month off then with.
