Things are popping! Check out the progress on the town layout. New additions include the Hospital, central plaza, pub, and updated the Hunter's Hall with more color and details. I've also refined the some of the topography features and added water tiles. Come take a dip in the hot springs after a long hunt.
I slightly reduced the contrast of the drop shadows to blend better with the ground. Depending on the environment, shadow colors may need to change color. For example, in a dark cave they will be black, but on a light surface in daylight it looks much better with a less stark blue or purple.
I temporarily removed all the trees, as I will add them all after I complete the layout, and I want to make a few more edits to the designs. You can see how the foliage is made out of a few variations of leaf bundles that are stamped out in a layered fashion. Works so great I'm thinking to revisit the technique for an updated tutorial.
Also learning a little about Unity so I can synchronize better with my programmer, and personally do the layout in the game project. This will drastically improve workflow once I get accustomed to the tools. Dreams eventually become reality. Just can't give up.
