As far as we know, it's the only place in the universe to support life. Most importantly, it's home, and should be treated with respect.

Thanks! I chose an orientation that focuses on North America cuz that's my location:) Thankfully I could find nice photo references to get accurate details and colors. Also used a bit of google earth to get a clear view of the shapes of continents. There's something profound about drawing the Earth. You should try it out sometime!
