Thyrian Defenders - 52
Added 2020-05-01 15:58:50 +0000 UTCHi again. Got a quick update for you from the Thyrian universe.
Here are a few more idle animations for the map screen. These are all completed and implemented into the game now. In addition to animating the planets, I updated the sprite work quite a bit. Some of these were originally made a couple years ago, so naturally I now see ways to improve them. However, I try not to get too caught up in tiny cosmetic revisions, as you can get trapped in a constant cycle of redoing your graphics as you naturally improve your skills. It's impossible to make everything perfect. The most important thing is consistency in style, so everything feels like it belongs together. Surprisingly, all our assets still look quite good, even though some things were made up to a couple years ago.
Got another short action clip for you. Just a tease from the last stage. Speaking of action clips. I did manage to get a trailer put together. Right now it's just pure gameplay clips with one music track that plays over the top. Need to add a few minor details but it's pretty much good to go. You should get to see it soon, just need to get a few more things in order before we start a hype train. Don't want to run out of steam before launch.
