REN what type of guitar should a very much beginner get? When I was 18 I bought a acoustic and tried to play cords with Crosby Stills Nash and Young . I It didn’t work. I was very impatient to get it with very little practice. Now that I am much much older you have given me inspiration. If you read this thank you for being such a wonderful human being

Guitar lessons with Ren is wiping away the bad memories of guitar lessons with my father ,he hated that I was left handed and tried to force me to do it right handed with verbal & physical abuse when I stuffed up so I didn't practice much for years but Ren being kind enough to give lessons has made me want to try again & I'm enjoying it for the first time 😊

You are an excellent teacher. I’m gonna give this a whirl on my steel string. I’m inspired to find a decent classical. At the least get the action reset as it’s a bit hard to bar chord. Thanks bunches, Ren. I just joined recently so now I know where the lessons are. Yay!😀

Welcome back! Stay warm! Thank you for these lessons! It seems weird to me that I do enjoy them, because am no longer able to play (arthritis) but I imagine myself doing so, and it makes me happy to follow you along. Used to do bar chords and finger picking. (Sigh).

Thanks Ren. Still working my way through Jenny’s tale taking it slow and fingers hurting. Actually making a nice if slow sound that i didn’t expect I could make before these tutorials. Those finger pull offs are new to me and will need lots of work…

a good incentive to travel 2200km 😩 round trip in picking up my guitar...First time hearing this I was stunned, so beautiful the just the music itself, conjuring up imagery, brought to life through the story; overwhelmingly emotive...but can't wait...100% damn good teacher U R.

Oooh, great! I haven't listened to it yet, but getting out the guitar now.... Personally, I only picked up the guitar in Spring of 2023, but used to play it some 35 years ago. Thanks for the inspiration to pick it back up (started in this order... Hi Ren, Violet, Jenny, Animal Flow & Murderer live versions....) Got tricked on Violet, for the Drop D tuning on the CD, but was playing in drop C# ish, to the tuning of the Video with the hospital bed..... Did you play it in different tune on that??? It's tripping me up, haha.

Was I an attentive student for this guitar lesson? Yes. Do I play or even own a guitar? No. I enjoyed it all the same, lol! Thank you for taking the time to share!

I find it hilarious that I sit and watch these tutorials, even though I have no idea how to play the guitar. But it's just fun watching you teach others your magic!

Amazing...I keep thinking it must be hard for you to teach it, as you know it so well, it must be like autopilot when you play it, so explaining it must be brain boggling. But you teach it so well, so maybe not. I can still only play Greensleeves and Silent Night 🤣
