G'day mates,
today I come at you (yes, this is an attack; defend yourself) with the usual dev log right around(-ish) the halfway mark of the latest update's dev cycle. Was probably obvious already from the title and I didn't need to explain it again, yet here we are.
Speaking of the title - you may or may not have noticed that I changed the format. That's not to say that there necessarily will be multiple dev logs for this update - there most likely won't be. No, I've just looked at the title when I totally didn't copy-paste it from the last dev log and thought to myself that putting the date in isn't all that useful. I know which date it is (unusually enough), you know which date it is, and for everyone who doesn't, Patreon says it somewhere on the post itself. Dunno where right now, but you'll figure it out, I'm sure.

Be that how it may. Let's get to the actual meat of this thing.
First of all, of course, the update update:
Things are looking swell (some of them even swollen) and I'm honing in on the final stretch. It's a very.. neat update, if I say so myself. Certainly one that will make a few people happy. I can't yet give a date for its completion, though. Could be next weekend, could be a few days (or up to a week) after. I've had a few days where I didn't get as much done as I would've liked - mostly due to me being out and about to look at new apartments.
Because yeah, I'm looking for a new apartment to get outta this shithole with a sloped ceiling over the bathtub/shower. Haven't found one that's reasonably affordable yet, though, so I'll have to keep looking at a few more potential apartments over the next few weeks/months.
Moving sucks.
But anyway, let's continue on to the estimates for the update and then wrap this thing up, I guess.

Estimated changelog for v0.38.0:
- 14,500 words
- 180 renders
- 2-4 animations
- 2 new Space Hamsters
As you can see, there's an above average word count and a slightly below average render count. That's somewhat deliberately and a bit of a test for myself. It shouldn't be too noticeable in the update itself but it might help in making it be slightly longer in terms of actual play time. Curious to see how it ends up.
