Dev Log 04/08/2023 - Crimson High v0.27

Howdy, folks!

It is I with the latest news about your favorite visual novel Crimson High (it better be, or else) and boy do I have some news for you.

As of a few minutes ago, I have finished the writing for v0.27. That in itself isn't really anything spectacular. However, the update is almost twice as long (23k words instead of the usual 12-13k) and features (you won't believe it) a whooping 9 different versions of one scene with a different girl each.

Now, you might be thinking that that could potentially make the update even shorter in total, given that each of those 9 versions takes up a chunk of the word count, resulting in an overall shorter play time when viewing just one of the scenes and if you do, you are not completely wrong.
In terms of pure play time, the update is probably around the same length as usual - provided you just look at one of the variants and ignore the others. Which you might do and which is completely valid. I'm not gonna tell you how to play the game. For those of you who go through multiple (or even all) of the available options, however, the update should hold a good chunk of extra content.
But no matter how you decide to play the update, there should be some good content in it for you. 

Naturally the render count has increased along with the word count. Instead of the usual ~200 renders we're now looking at ~480 for the update. I know the rates don't quite line up but that's because the update is a bit more render-intensive than usual, too. (Well, obviously it is, duh.)

This being the case, I can't gauge too well how long it'll take me to finish the update, but I assume that the overall time between last update and this one won't increase from what it usually is, or if it does, it should be only a couple days more. My best guess would be about 2-ish weeks from now, potentially less. But I'll let you know more once I can say for certain, just like always.

And with that, I am done here. I hope you guys are having a great time and aren't too starved for more CH yet. If you are.. I dunno, replay it or something. Or maybe find me a cute 19-year-old assistant slash secretary (female) to aid me in creating CH. That would probably make my life a lot easier and potentially increase my productivity considerably. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the next update's done. Which is hopefully soon.
