I'm considering changing formats for 2024 and want to run it by you guys. What if instead of weekly updates I release a PDF once a month at the beginning of the month? It'll most likely be made available on the new online store, but it could potentially be a good move overall because it'll be more curated/organized, more intentional with the photos that go in which means upgrade in quality rather than quantity, and I can include riskier stuff.
Right now I have to deal with potential leaks so I can't go all out, but with the security of the PDF that should be possible. Also with that system I can update the free blog and private gallery on the new site more frequently. Thoughts?

With this WordPress plugin, you can theoretically use Patreon just to manage the subscriptions and tiers, so the blog/private gallery would show content automatically based on which tier the user is. The description also says it can import Patreon posts to WordPress. Sounds promising. You may even be able to fully ditch Patreon, using WordPress and some plugin to handle subscriptions/plans with PayPal. But that means paying someone to build and fix it when needed.

So starting new year I’d take the gumroad offline, keep this Patreon activity to a minimum, and keep everything going through the private gallery/blog I’m currently working on a solution to make the archives we have on here available there or Dropbox

2023-11-20 16:41:22 +0000 UTCI like the idea of more curated content, but this would mean content on 5 platforms (Patreon, Dropbox, Gumroad, Blog and Private Gallery), right? Isn't that too fragmented? Also, that sounds like a lot of workload to manage on your own (and I'm not including Instagram or any other social media on this list). I know Patreon has a wordpress plugin that could simplify things a bit for blog and private gallery, and maybe allow you to drop Dropbox (pun intended :P ).
