Blizzard Watch Podcast Uncut: Our Summer Game Fest Faves

In this week's uncut podcast, the crew talks about game modding and emulation. Games like Fallout 4 have stood the test of time in part because of the heavy modding supported by the company, while others have much clunkier modding tools -- or disallow it completely. Liz's love of macs has led her to emulate a lot of games, including Diablo Immortal, which she says runs really well. Cory asked her if she remembers back when Blizzard actually made games for mac. So, if you don't want to experience Liz's wrath, you can skip the preshow by modding your timestamp to 31:30.

While we did want to discuss some Blizzard news this week -- including the frankly hilarious Dastardly Duos shirt bug -- the biggest news of the week was the reams of announcements and trailers that came out of Summer Game Fest. From The Outer Worlds 2 to Failbetter's next offering the farm sim Mandrake, to Relooted, a hate letter to the British Museum, there were games on display for tons of different playstyles and genres and vibes. We ran through some of our favorite games and showcases, because man were there a lot of them to get through.

Plus, paradoxically, Diablo 4 is adding the cutest baby goats we've ever seen in our lives to the game. Just roll with it and hope nothing bad happens to them. Also, there won't be an LFR in Mists of Pandaria Classic (but there are some other options, sort of).
