Hopefully I 'm not too late. I think the answer is B. The President is creating a commission. Commissions study issues and offer solutions. It's not a new department and there aren't policy that take effect from the commission's decision. The funds have already been allocated by Congress. So, A is maybe or maybe not correct, but doesn't feel relevant. C is maybe or maybe not correct, but wouldn't apply because there is no action taken by the commissions decision. D is not correct because there is not a new agency created in the question. The answer left is B.

It would be great if at some point you set up another patron category where I could have a feed without these episodes.

2024-06-20 21:50:56 +0000 UTCI think it's D, I don't think there's a distinction between a commission and an agency--I recall commissions in the past being Congressionally created. But mostly I'm commenting to add my voice to the Heather fan club. There is just no substitute for having a real teacher lead these segments. Heather's pedagogy is top notch, walking you through examining every step of your thought process, and always taking time to encourage you on the things you do right. Heather reminds me of the best teachers I had growing up. Keep these segments going!

2024-06-19 18:57:43 +0000 UTCThomas is right, and everyone needs to chill. A is wrong because it's not accurately describing the powers vested in the Presidency. C is wrong because something being a "traditional" state function doesn't have the force of law, and therefore isn't covered under the 10th Amendment. D is wrong because a commission is definitely not the same thing as a federal agency.
