What really hit me hard was hearing about how you are not able to come visit your family here. I literally gasped when you said your tourist visa interview isn't until March, 2025. That is terrible. I know I cannot begin to comprehend how awful this experience was but I grew up with kids who were undocumented in Utah. One of my high school friends is now protected by DACA. She now has a family, a house, and a career. It would personally affect me if she was deported. We aren't close anymore (still FB friends) but if she needed something, I'd help however I could.

I think she is actually my best friend and just doesn't know it yet. I was in tears hearing Matt talk about how great she is...and you are THE most empathetic person Thomas. Home is what was stolen from Azul... you're 💯 percent correct and just so fucking articulate. I just love having you back on OA. And this story just proves that Matt is Lawyer 2.0 ! Cheers -Jas

Job description can be anything that might be in an assistants job description - taking calls, paperwork, booking appointments, etc. Small companies (i.e. your local plumber or HVAC repair person) often use VAs if they want to have someone handle a lot of the overhead but they aren’t big enough to traditionally employ a full-time office person.

2024-03-17 20:36:03 +0000 UTCWhen I was 7 I came to the US with my family and we overstayed our visa. Growing up I only knew about our status when my oldest sister got married. Fast forward all my sisters got married and became legal, my parents became legal after my oldest sister became a citizen. I was in my 20s and like my sisters they tried to get me arranged married (we’re indian) and like Azule I knew I wasn’t ready. Through some miracle I became legal just after finishing college. This whole episode made me cry cause so much of her story felt familiar
