2023-04-05 23:40:20 +0000 UTCThis is nit-picking a point that was already made, but I can't get over how Liz thinks that 'friends in high places' was a reference to the Garth Brooks song... it's literally a famous phrase that's been around for hundreds of years, versions of it going back to Roman times. Hunter S Thompson used it, many famous politicians used it decades before Garth Brooks made fun of the phrase in the 90s. Like if someone says 'I heard it through the grapevine' they aren't necessarily referencing Marvin Gaye.

2023-04-05 16:36:08 +0000 UTCTrump usually claims to be 6’-3”, but he’s more like 6’1. He both liked being seen as taller and also not obese. 6’-5” is great. He’s going to be GOB’ing his way to be 9 feet tall in a $4.7 million suit.

2023-04-05 12:49:56 +0000 UTCHere's a question: Bragg cited in his press conference a federal election violation as a reason for the modification of the misdemeanor to felony. He can't charge that. Presumably, the DOJ under Sessions or Barr wrote an internal memo stating their "reasoning" to exercise prosecutorial discretion in a declination decision to prosecute the president on account of he's the sitting President. Would Bragg's citing of federal election laws run afoul of a federal internal decision to not charge that crime in the same case? They just put Cohen in prison for years for the same crime and made it go away for Individual-1.
