do you think we should forget being a clean podcast and just do the explicit tag? This wouldn't involve any real change in cursing, just not bother with the bleeps when we do curse.

I would not be bothered by more cursing. However, some of your more conservative listeners would be put off. For an example of this follow James Fell on Facebook. He routinely posts rants about all the hate mail he gets from old dinosaurs who like his message, but hate his cussing.
