I got a new 3D printer!
Added 2019-07-15 18:41:57 +0000 UTCHello all, sorry for the lack of updates lately but I just got a new 3D printer and I've been doing lots of testing with it over the past few days.
After two attempts at trying to figure out how to get it to print properly, I finally printed a successful test model
Then I figured I'd do the ultimate test and use an old model that I used on my old printer to further stress test it.
Here is an image showing the old print next to the new print. I was having issues with zBrush exporting my file properly so that's why she's missing her side hair and piercings.
I didn't quite like the resin that came with my printer as it was hard to photograph it due to how shiny it was and its semi-transparent nature. So I bought some Elegoo Blue from Amazon and it appeared at my door early the next day!
So I decided I would print three test models at the same time, and they printed out very nicely.
It's hard to even see the stepping on the rook!
So I decided I needed to test soemthing a little more detailed, so I printed out a toad I found on thingiverse and printed him in three parts. Then as for my final print, I decided to give my imp one more go, and I finally got the missing details to appear this time!
That's all for now, but I'd like to make a proper model project that is designed to be printed off, and who knows, maybe even sell it! I'll be sketching out ideas for that sometime soon in the future.
