Spells or magic being conjured, cast or applied is called "Sorcia".
When you see written sorcia, they are not only for style but they mean something!
Here's an example of sorcia being cast from one of the older #FurriaFridays: It's a level 2 Flamma-Fulgo projectile Sorcia!
Specifically, the 2nd #FurriaFriday entry shown on Ruby's hand casting a fireball.
As the caption says: they do mean something! Lemme explain:
- The symbol on the top-left is the level of the sorcia. The only thing that matters there is the number of circles and that they are linked by lines. I think if I could remember, the lines were also the gesture to do it.
If there are shaded dots, it would be the minimum level. Otherwise, it's only fixated on one level you specified.
The bottom-left would say it outright in text. In this case, 2.
- The two triangles of the outer symbol are the base of the sorcia. These two triangles mean it's a projectile base.
- The symbols in the middle are the aspects involved in the sorcia. These are a modification of symbols that represent the aspects, either in parts or as a whole. It's a combination of both Flamma (Fire) and Fulgo (Plasma) symbols which can be found on the top-right.
- The symbol on the bottom-right only means it's only intended for targets, not allies. This is more specific to the person using it and who treats them as targets and allies.
That should be everything! It's quite fun making written sorcia~
