Here's the new video, up early for patrons. It's a semi-documentary about the legacy of a famous game. Let me know your thoughts!
Just fyi, the credits are based on whoever was backing me at the time the previous video went up, so if you just joined me, you'll be in the next one! Plz let me know if I said/wrote your name wrong/you prefer a different name in the credits as soon as possible!
The next 2 videos are shorter and (hopefully) coming out quicker than normal. One is a response to the 'soy boy' nonsense the Internet Weirds are currently babbling about, in which I outline a mostly-soy diet I'll do for a solid month just to prove they don't know what they're talking about. That should be out soonish, and at the end of the diet I'll publish a video documenting the effects and also properly debunking the pseudoscience behind the anti-soy 'movement' and that'll be more standard fare, just with a side of 'I ate a lot of soy to prove this'. I'll put videos up for backers covering the experience of radically altering my diet for no reason if anything funny comes up, lol.
The second video is an exploration of the 'response video' format and the ways it's changed over the years, and that should hopefully be out in a week. I'm gonna try and keep it short but sweet - my recent videos have tended to be super long and I'd like to avoid doing that when it isn't strictly necessary. I don't want a reputation for being long needlessly, although I must admit it's nice being supported in being as indulgent as possible with the topics I end up covering.
The next game-criticism video was going to be about Night In The Woods, but the creators recently announced a big update that adds way more content, and the game is so good that I want to play it again with the new stuff before talking about it. That way I'll also be able to weigh in on if you should play it again if you did so before the update.
In lieu of that, around December I should be close to finishing the next super-long game analysis, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Was Disappointing, And Here's Why, or perhaps a better name if I can ever think of one.
