Channel Update!

Just thought I'd give my folks an update on what's going on on the channel.

Coming in the next couple days is a video essay about how violence can be used to tell a story in movies. Based on how people respond to it, there might be more in the same style, or maybe it'll be a one-and-done type thing. If you liked the Fallout video this will be similar, but obviously not about video games.

Then, expect bonus stuff for a while. I want to do a week of JUST putting out stuff for backers. I've had some truly awesome support and I wanna give back.

Next month the video about Sargon's petition will be out, and then work is starting on the next LONG-FORM VIDEO ESSAY ABOUT A VIDEO GAME. I'm flying down to Denmark to record BloodBorne footage with a friend for ten days and make notes in preparation for the video. In addition to that video which will hopefully be out at some point in July, depending on how entertaining the recording sessions turn out, I'll put the whole playthrough out on a new channel somewhere - or at the very least a highlight reel.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: Klaus (the artist whose work you saw in the Butt Gate and Virtue Signalling videos) and I are working on the script and storyboard for the next short animated thing. I have no idea when it'll be out but we're aiming for July and for a length somewhere in between the last two I've done.

And finally: You've probably been looking at the $500 goal in the corner and wondered, what's going on with that?

The answer is I've spent every waking moment that I haven't been making videos the last few months coming up with ideas for a game. Two or three completely separate ideas have coalesced and now I have to pick one.

July, expect the first of a series of videos documenting the development thus far, along with a poll on which idea to run with.

Thanks again, to all of you, for your support! Now that the referendum is over and the pound has tanked, I am finally glad that (what has become) my main source of income is paid in dollars!

This is all fantastic, but if there's one thing I know about game development it's that it's a time-consuming void of work obligations and responsibilities. How do you plan to balance things between making videos, which themselves take a ton of work and time, and beginning what could easily be a 2-5-year-long project? Regardless, I wish you luck! :)

Odense!

You should make a poor man's Diablo. Then make videos complaining you've been too busy to work on it because you've been too busy making videos about how a certain woman's kickstarter project is fraudulent.

Where are you going to stay in Denmark? Is it possible to buy you a beer somewhere (without monopolizing your time)?

Great update- lots of exciting stuff! My condolences to you and your country. You can return the pity when our elections come up.

I absolutely loved the Fallout video you did and I'd really like to see more stuff in the same style. Looking forward to it!

Rewatching your measured response videos has been getting me through this dreary, post-referendum hellscape. I'm looking forward to your game dev stuff!
