The year is already coming to an end—time really flies!
How has everyone been doing?
October was quite an intense month for me...
As some of you may already know from Discord,
my parent suddenly had a stroke, and I had to rush to the hospital.
To start with the conclusion — the treatment went extremely well.
The doctor and nurses even said it was the first time they’d seen someone recover that quickly and smoothly.
My sleep schedule tends to flip between day and night quite often,
so I usually go to bed at dawn and wake up late in the afternoon.
That day was no different—I had just gone to sleep early in the morning
when I suddenly got a call saying that there was a major water leak
at the family shop we run.
I barely slept for two or three hours before rushing up to help clean things up.
But then I noticed that something was off with my mother.
She was repeating the same words and her speech sounded a bit slurred.
Sensing something was wrong, I asked my father about it,
and he told me that since that morning she had been spilling water while drinking,
and had trouble moving properly while preparing breakfast—so he had to do it for her.
Both of my parents thought she was just feeling weak or tired,
but I had a bad feeling about it.
I suddenly remembered something I’d seen on YouTube,
and realized it might be a brain-related issue,
so I took my mother straight to the emergency room at a university hospital.
The diagnosis showed that, fortunately, it wasn’t a brain hemorrhage.
There was an issue with a blood vessel in the brain, which had caused partial paralysis in some functions.
In cases like this, it’s crucial to get to the hospital as quickly as possible once symptoms appear—
thankfully, we arrived in time.
After about a week of hospitalization and treatment,
my mother recovered enough to return to her normal daily life without any major problems!
If the water leak at our family shop hadn’t happened that morning—
if I hadn’t been forced to get up early,
and we had gone to the hospital 6 to 8 hours later instead—
her condition could have become much worse.
Whether it was fate or just coincidence,
thanks to that water leak, I woke up early enough,
and my mother was able to receive treatment in time.
I was never really someone who believed in fate,
but this time, I couldn’t help thinking that maybe it does exist after all.
Anyway, after my mother was discharged, we were told to pay close attention to her diet, so we started changing a lot of things—like the type of cooking oil we used and even the rice.
Naturally, I began paying more attention to what I ate as well,
and before I knew it, I started losing weight quickly and feeling much healthier!
In the end... it seems the real problem was what I was eating.
Once I completely stopped eating processed foods like sausages and ham, avoided fried or greasy dishes, and quit eating out altogether, everything in my body just started returning to normal.
So now that the big ordeal is over and my health has improved,
I’ll do my best to bring you even better works from here on out!
As I mentioned before, I’ll keep working toward my goal of creating at least two illustrations and one comic every month!
The next piece will probably be a Pokémon or Zenless Zone Zero fanart,
and for the comic, I’m planning to draw the third part of my Zenless Zone Zero fan comic series.
This ended up being a pretty long post
Thanks so much for reading!
