UI Revamp: Virtual Stable & Personnel Files π¨π»βπ»
Added 2020-05-29 13:02:13 +0000 UTCHello crew! πTime for that promised post about some of the UI changes I've been making over here at Schloss Labz π° I've actually done rather a lot - advancing the Integrated Walkthrough to the end of the Brig scene, adding new synthetics and aliens to their respective screen, etc. But for now, I'll concentrate on the revamp of the Virtual Stable, and the new Personnel Files! π©π»βπΌπ¨π»βπΌ
NB: Spoilers ahead for the two new characters in the update - as well as the current lead in the Captain's Name Contest π
VIRTUAL STABLE SCREEN:

As you can see, no massive changes - a bunch of new characters have been added (the two new characters and all the cadets from the showerblock scene) to take the list up to 15. You'll only see them in fresh starts - but since I've got a bunch more changes to come next month, I suggest that you don't rush to start over just to fix your saves π
The big difference is that clicking on the character cards now brings up this:
PERSONNEL FILES:

π This is one for the management-game fans out there. As you can see, the new personnel files have a raft of new info and features. At the top you have your Bio, and each sexual act gets logged in Sexual History to 'keep score'. You'll also see an Information section - logging the snippets of important info you gain from speaking to the character. That's not just to help you keep track of the storyline... knowing this info will help you upgrade your relationship and access scenes in future conversations.
There's also the Spank Bank - a scene replay feature similar to the one in Daemonology; and a Gallery you can open by clicking the character portrait:
GALLERY:

NOTE:
You'll see that the central Relationship section of the Personnel File is blank - that's because it's not implemented yet! π You'll also see that this update will only roll out the first 4 characters as a test run before I get started on the others (it's fiddly and rather time-consuming work π)
Anyway - very interested to hear what you guys think... and this is def the best time to bring up any issues or suggestions! Let me know in the comments below π

Yeah - I intended to give him one (and his namesake was very eager!) - but I had some issues with morphing the asset. Hopefully the content of the scene will improve your spirits π

2020-05-30 17:36:19 +0000 UTClove this, looks very neat and clean! The only thing I can think about as suggestion is whether the individual cards may have likes-dislikes of each person and/or relationships between NPCs (X likes Y, dislikes Z). But I don't know if it makes sense mechanics-wise.

2020-05-30 11:55:52 +0000 UTCπ Thanks LT! Yeah - I always like to have some extra detail, and I think it will really help to have a bit of reference material in an episodic game with many characters! M.A.X (the android) should be fun π€

2020-05-30 10:43:13 +0000 UTCIt's always a joy to get a new update from you! This all looks fantastic and will definitely be worth the wait. It's incredible how far this game as come and we're still in phase 1!!! I'm especially excited for the personal files! Little detail like knowing the other characters relation to each other are things that make the experience more enjoyable!! And that robot colossus looking character ππ Really looking forward to this next one!

2020-05-30 00:34:31 +0000 UTCMe too (I usually get worried the dev is going over perfectionist). Really glad you like the changes π€

2020-05-30 00:34:14 +0000 UTCThanks LT π hehe - yeah, I still struggle with the whole patience thing... once again wishing I could clone myself and get it done faster! Still - you'll be seeing the first part of the remaster pretty soon now π

2020-05-30 00:31:33 +0000 UTCI'm always excited when I see an update on this game, and I continue to be impressed by the quality. Now, I just have to work on that patience thing...

2020-05-29 22:03:52 +0000 UTCNormally I don't like when developers go back to enhance things that are already in the game because it means things aren't progressing forward, but in all honesty I really like these changes a lot. This is what I was hoping the virtual stable and it's nice to finally have a 'gallery' in the game. Keep up the good work!

2020-05-29 20:13:14 +0000 UTCLooks great! Can't wait to play with it.

2020-05-29 18:10:57 +0000 UTCFinally, your hands have reached the RPG component! In my opinion, the game lacked this "raisin"! I believe that those "crumbs" that are added to the game will benefit her and allow them to "plunge" into the plot components "with head "! It remains to be patient and wait for the update!
