Kentucky: Wes, part 1

Here are some images from my most recent shoot - just last month in Louisville, Kentucky. I was in town for a few days with my father and naturally, I needed to find some local talent for a shoot! 😁📸

Wes is a 20 year old former gymnast who calls Louisville home, but attends college in Georgia. We chatted a bit on Instagram prior to me arriving and talked out some location ideas and decided on a time. He gave me a few suggestions of where to shoot and I decided this one was the best. Oftentimes the local models have ZERO location ideas or suggestions and I have to rely on finding it myself after arriving - Wes was the exception. This location was a mostly renovated/gentrified old warehouse area that is now an arts center. Most of it was empty, so we pretty much had it to ourselves. We used a few different spots there and then drove to downtown Louisville to get some shots on the top of a parking garage. The afternoon sun was strong and Wes' lean, cut physique was definitely on point.

We shot for a couple hours or so and got heaps of great shots! Besides being a cute guy with a great physique, Wes was polite, super friendly and inquisitive - as a fellow artist who is interested in photography and video, he picked my brain about all sorts of things related. We had a great time laughing, joking around and taking photos - which is something I needed. I hadn't done any shoots since my Mexico trip and hadn't really even felt any inspiration lately. No doubt I'll cross paths with him again at some point. In the meantime, more of him to come!
