Thank you so much to all the patrons who asked questions! You guys had some really good ones. This Q&A was great fun, and we'll definitely be doing more in the future. And make sure you stick around to the end for some bloopers!

Thanks for watching!

Thanks. I did mention it on the channel when this was released. Maybe once I have more bonus content available it might be more enticing for folks.

Brandon Sander

You have got to let people know that stuff like this is on patreon. I very much enjoy the authenticity in this video.

Jeremy Henry

Sure thing, man! It's a lot of work but mostly work I love doing and I'm always home with the family. I hope you can find your way into something like this as well if that's what you mean. I'll be your first subscriber!

Brandon Sander

Thank you for this awesome q&a video. You are quite literally living the life i am making for myself and my family. Although, i am a controls engineer rather than a mechanical. Love all your content and hopefully someday soon i can join the circle of awesome youtube hobby machinists!

Kyle Wellman

Yes! Encourage Erik! He and I have been talking about him doing a channel for some time now. He's got the first project finished just needs to get that first video out there. Maybe a little additional encouragement from you would help 😉 Thanks, Jason! Edit: Just now seeing Erik's reply. But my point stands nonetheless!

Brandon Sander

Funny you should say that.. 😁 it’s definitely coming(the video footage is all done, but editing, as I’m sure Brandon will attest - takes time, which doesn’t balance too well with a 6 day work week)

Erik D. Radzius

I love this channel and your quiet passion that radiates through all the videos. But now I also want to see content from Erik! :)

Jason Noiles

Thanks, Erik! I never really thinking about how I sound when I talk about machining, but I'm definitely passionate about it. So I guess Im glad that comes through haha Maybe that's the true sign of happiness. (I get the same vibe from the bit's and pieces you've shared with me). As far as upload time over here it's definitely early. But from the stat's I suspect a lot of people take an early lunch (or at least that's what a lot tell me haha) Thanks again!

Brandon Sander

Thank you Jeff! So far we are able to make ends meet, and as I always try to mention it wouldn't be possible without the support from folks like you. So thank you again for all the support!

Brandon Sander

What a pleasure this was to watch! Among other things, something that really stands out is how passionate you are when you talk about machining in general. It makes me quite happy because I talk about it in the same way(or at least I think i do 😂) and it's truly heartwarming to watch someone be so passionate about the job they do. You seem very happy, and truly deserve to be to - I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this way, but your videos always brighten up my day whenever I get a notification that a new one is out(the difference in time zone helps because every time you upload it's quite early over here so the whole day I have something to look forward to when I get home) Can't wait to see what comes next in the journey.

Erik D. Radzius

Brandon, this was fun. I enjoy and look forward to all your content. I'm glad you made the plunge and I hope that it is a financial success for you to continue your passion with it. Looking forward to your next segment!

Jeffrey Spoor

Very much appreciated as always, PJ! I wasn't entirely sure myself that this would become a full time thing but I'm so glad it has gone that direction. It's quite a rewarding thing being a business owner. So thank you for making that possible! And on the editing software, we use Final Cut Pro X (Mac)

Brandon Sander

High Praise, well done Brandon!! Grateful to hear some of these details, particularly about your videography and story telling (My Favorite) and the 4 years board drafting which definitely made sense by your line work and details. I should have posted the question on what editing software you use but thought someone else would ask. ? You two make a great team and really appreciate your dedication to the art and detailed production to the media!! It's a Lot of work and rare these day with viewers that settle for the quick post and it's a shame IMHO. My Heartfelt congratulations on making the jump from corporate to this as a profession at an earlier age. Made my morning, Thank You! ~PJ

PJ

Well, at least the lessons learned are obvious. The production quality is amazing, and please let her know how much I appreciate both of your efforts.

Michael Faragher

Thanks Michael! Yes the polyurethane industry is something I never really knew anything about before my job in it and its literally everywhere. The same equipment (more or less) is used for a lot of different applications from white appliance insulation to carbon fiber. And the temperature control and ratio control are very interesting as well. Maybe another time I can talk about some that. Also I would recommend my wife's channel but she has since stepped back and removed all of her content so there wouldn't be anything to see haha. Thanks as always!

Brandon Sander

My pleasure, Jose. I'll most likely release it on the channel as well for exactly that. Then have something else lined up for patrons as well of course!

Brandon Sander

Thank you! I think your regular subscribers would also enjoy this. Maybe a week you are off?

Jose Rodriguez

Since I am an incredible dork that's fascinated by everything, injection molding is neat. Never looked into polyurethane molding, though. The mixing and temperature control would be neat to learn about. Also, if your wife's channel is still active, I'd love to check it out. Thanks so much, it was fun to watch. Glad to hear all the work is paying off (and it's more work than I expected!) and always looking forward to the next installment. And the heat treat oven, because that is feature creep central.
