I often end up back at the more somber genre, but this one hopefully adds a bit of a different angle to it I haven't done before. At least... not exactly like this.
This was quite an interesting project with several layers. I haven't made monotone paintings in years, mimicking an old photo in this detail I hadn't done yet (but wanted to), and it basically being 3 different paintings in one, the imagery on the photo, the photo paper itself and the environment it sits in. So hence the 3 versions!
I want to start offering alternative versions here on Patreon exclusively. This is testing the waters a bit, altho not exactly what I had in mind. (I was thinking about it sketching different outfits, no-helmet versions, etc.)
