First was the little headsketch, then a fuller rough painting. Nice excuse to get to steal her style hah... not that I haven't attempted mimicking her style before, tho.
From an earlier tweet I made:
"As someone who's spend years making various different 3D painted interpretations of the 2D MLP style (and seeing so many others do the same) this is a weirdly exciting day getting to see it officially go full CGI"
I've received many reactions of my work looking like 3D over the years, seeing MLP actually move into full CGI, with the art of a good friend?! It's fascinating in so many ways. It honestly also gave a nice little motivational boost in these times. Talking with Imalou, seeing her reaction and her new public fame she's been working on for these past years. Good energy day in general, so I gotta roll with it while I can.
