Chapter 255: Samehada Torn in Half

Kisame, sent flying by Sawada's kick, looked at him with disbelieving eyes. Such astonishing power. Even Samehada said it hurt. Moreover, what that guy covered his foot with earlier wasn't simple either. I can't tell what it is at all.

"Summoning Jutsu!" A puff of smoke rose. Kisame watched curiously until the smoke dispersed. A fat cat appeared in place, making the expectant Kisame freeze in surprise.

"Nyanko, catch up to Yusuke and Muta. Protect them well." Before Nyanko could speak, Sawada immediately gave the order.

Nyanko didn't hesitate, nodded, and glanced at Kisame's retreating back before leaving. This human's chakra is so vast!

Kisame watched Nyanko leave, then looked at Sawada. "You're quite confident?"

As soon as the words fell, Kisame bared his teeth, revealing a mouth full of shark-like fangs. "Samehada should really like your chakra!"

The accumulated snow on the ground exploded. A figure charged straight at Sawada, so fast it left only afterimages. Sawada's body twisted. Using one hand to support himself on the ground, he stood and left his original position.

He opened his mouth, spewing scorching flames from his throat. "Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet!" Flames with burning effects shot straight at Kisame.

"Ha!" Kisame chuckled lightly, rapidly forming seals. "Water Release: Water Formation Wall!" The accumulated snow beneath his feet instantly surged. Under the chakra nature transformation, it became a thick, flowing water wall blocking him.

The moment the Fire Dragon Bullet struck, large amounts of steaming water vapor spread. Behind the water wall, Kisame was unharmed, his eyes bursting with intense excitement.

Sawada didn't expect a single Fire Release to be enough to handle Kisame. Naturally, Fire Release was countered by Water Release. He raised a finger, communicating with the ground beneath Kisame's feet, softening it into liquid.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow River!" As Sawada slapped the ground with one hand, the liquid earth formed a river, flowing alongside Kisame's feet.

"Hmph! Petty tricks!" Kisame struggled to steady himself, lifted his foot, and stomped on the mud flow. A surge of mighty chakra water instantly broke through the mud flow. "Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave!"

With Kisame at the center, violent circular water waves gushed forth like a fountain, lifting his body and freeing him from the mud flow. Kisame looked at Sawada on the ground, his smile becoming increasingly ferocious, then rode the water waves, charging at him.

"I'm getting more and more curious about just how delicious your chakra is!" As the words fell, Kisame gripped Samehada's hilt with one hand and fiercely swung at Sawada.

Samehada's blade slashed toward Sawada, suddenly opening to reveal a mouth full of sharp teeth. Instantly, a powerful suction ripple burst forth. An invisible vortex tore directly at Sawada's chakra.

Sawada calmly looked at the ugly Samehada. His entire body was instantly covered in Yang Release chakra. The terrifying suction immediately found no purchase. Sawada grabbed Samehada's open mouth with both hands and took a deep breath.

"Monstrous Strength: Third Gear!"

"HAAAH!" Sawada gathered his strength, both hands tearing outward, determined to destroy the blade before him!

"Wha—what!" Kisame sensed something was wrong because Samehada was transmitting pain signals to him. He added force to his hands, wanting to pull it back.

"Want to leave? Too late!"

The sound of tearing flesh filled the air. Kisame's entire body trembled, his gaze fixed on Samehada, torn in half before him. How is this possible? I've never seen anyone able to tear Samehada apart. After all, once in contact with Samehada, the chakra becomes like items in a pocket, ready to be taken away at any time.

Taking advantage of Kisame's momentary shock, Sawada turned and bent, using leverage to hoist the unwilling-to-let-go Kisame up and heavily slam him into the ground. I have to admit, ever since slamming the Four-Tails like that, I've really grown to love this move.

The entire ground instantly shattered. Kisame's body fell, countless snowflakes shaking upward. Kisame came to his senses, ignoring the stabbing pain in his body, and was about to rise.

Sawada heavily stomped on him. "Heavenly Kick!"

A massive sound rang out. The ground around the entire forest instantly collapsed, as if hit by an earthquake.

"Ugh—cough cough!" Not far away, Kisame, who had narrowly escaped, knelt on one knee, spitting out a mouthful of blood. The shattered wound on his ribs looked somewhat gruesome.

Kisame kept gasping for breath, his whole body like broken bellows. Samehada's hilt, torn in half, was weakly gripped in his hand. Kisame looked down at the wound on his body and made his decision.

He activated the Chakra Absorption Technique, absorbing the chakra Samehada had stored. With Kisame's actions, the originally limp Samehada instantly stiffened, letting out a silent howl, as if questioning why its partner would betray it like this!
