Chapter 386: Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror

July 31st.

Sean had Rob deliver Harry's birthday gift, then left and used Apparition combined with flight ability to finally reach that Scottish riverside town buried deep in Lockhart's memories.

Sean had already learned the house's location when he previously used Legilimency on Lockhart, so he went straight there. If Sean hadn't guessed wrong, this should be Rowena Ravenclaw's ancestral home. That Ravenclaw magical ruin should be inside this ancestral home. According to Lockhart's memories, it should be...

Pondering the memories he'd previously viewed from Lockhart, Sean followed their guidance into Ravenclaw's ancestral home, activated a certain magical mechanism, entered the basement, and proceeded along an underground passage deep beneath the earth until he came before a massive stone door.

A raven was carved on this stone door. When Sean stood before it, the raven seemed to come alive, slowly moving and looking at Sean.

"Little Bobby's every move cannot leave the string. Why?"

"Little Bobby is a puppet."

"Twins can always be recognized by one person. Who is this person?"

"Themselves."

"Why do elephants have such long noses?"

"Because elephants love to lie."

After Sean answered all three riddles in succession, the raven slowly nodded. "You are qualified to enter the magical ruins of the wise Ravenclaw."

With these words, the door where the raven resided slowly opened, revealing a bright corridor lit with torches.

Looking at the opening door, Sean shrugged helplessly. Riddles from Ravenclaw's era were somewhat outdated now. Not even as contemporary as the riddles at Ravenclaw's common room entrance at Hogwarts.

Sean entered the corridor. He wasn't nervous. Though he hadn't learned from Lockhart what was inside the ruins, the fact that Lockhart could leave safely, even bringing away a maxed-level Obliviate charm, was enough to prove there was no danger within.

Sure enough, when Sean reached the corridor's end, an underground space without any dust appeared before him.

This space wasn't too large —about 100 square meters. Many tables and experimental benches were arranged inside, with even more empty bookshelves in the back. This should be where Ravenclaw researched magic. As for why she'd place her magical research location in such a place, most likely Ravenclaw had encountered something like witch hunts and didn't want those ordinary people disturbing her, so she placed her magical research site here.

Now, let me see what's here that could give Lockhart a maxed-level Obliviate charm.

Sean searched carefully. Soon, he found a mirror.

Looking at this mirror placed on the table, Sean reached out to touch it. Immediately, his status panel's notification appeared before him.

[Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror: Magical artifact, reflects Ravenclaw's magical research and practice. Reflecting your image in the mirror grants you Ravenclaw's magical experience, improving spell proficiency and gaining enhancements. Each person can only reflect once. Reflection consumes the reflector's mental energy; when mental energy is depleted, enhancement stops.]

After reading the panel's notification, Sean examined the cracks on Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror more closely. This mirror probably couldn't last much longer. It couldn't be used many more times.

"Huu..."

Sean exhaled and sat before the mirror. Just as he prepared to trigger this magical artifact, a blue light appeared on Ravenclaw's Vanity Mirror. Sean felt his head grow heavy, his eyes went black, and when he regained his vision, he discovered the underground magical ruins he was in had completely changed.

The bookshelves were filled with books, with even more volumes stacked on top and on the floor below. Tables and experimental benches were laden with numerous magical materials and instruments, including various potion-making equipment. In the corner of this underground magical laboratory, a single-person blue sofa sat, and on it was an extremely beautiful young woman with long hair braided into plaits that fell across her chest, wearing a teasing smile with a faintly intimidating aura.

Rowena Ravenclaw!

Without doubt, someone with such bearing could only be her. Besides, Sean had seen her portrait before.

Rowena Ravenclaw closed the book in her hands, uncrossed her legs, slowly stood, and said to Sean, "Hello. It's been a long time since anyone visited here."

"You're a memory preserved in this mirror?"

"Correct. I'm a memory segment belonging to Rowena. You can consider me Rowena, but you need to understand I'm not completely Rowena."

"So how do I improve magical skills?"

"You're quite direct..." Rowena picked up a wand from a nearby table and told Sean, "Cast the magic you wish to improve."

Regarding the magic he wanted to improve, Sean already had ideas, so he didn't hesitate and directly demonstrated the corresponding magic on Rowena.

"Sectumsempra!"

"Oh? New magic!"

Slash...

The sofa behind Rowena split in half.

Seeing this spell's effect, Rowena pondered briefly, then traced her wand at Sean, casting the same magic.

"Sectumsempra!"

Faster casting, stronger power, more cunning angle!

Sean felt his body instantly split in two. Before he could even feel pain, his body was restored to its original state. But just as his body recovered, his entire right arm fell off, blood flowing.

Rowena didn't pause at all, continuing to cast at Sean.

Right leg, left leg, left arm, waist, head...

Sean's body was divided into countless pieces, falling to the ground.

This time, Sean felt the agony. The instant he recovered again, he immediately rolled on the ground, casting Sectumsempra to counterattack. However, before Sean's magic could manifest, his right arm, raising the wand, was vertically split open. Half falling to the ground, half remaining on Sean's shoulder. Such pain even made Sean groan lowly.

"Using the same spell, completely defeat me. Next, I won't hold back anymore!"

As her words fell, Rowena gently waved her wand. In just an instant, everything in the entire room, including Sean, was simultaneously cut into densely packed small pieces, piling up on the floor!
