BEST S95C BT.2020 WIDE GAMUT Calibration Settings

These are the new calibration settings to get accurate color at the D65 white point in HDR in the BT.2020 WIDE GAMUT and SDR using a spectrophotometer, colorimeter, Calman Ultimate, and a pattern generator for the best accuracy possible.

Note: THIS IS FOR GAME MODE ONLY & YOU MUST HAVE THE HDMI PORT SET TO PC MODE!!!

HDR Calibration

WITH HDR & AUTO HDR ENABLED IN WINDOWS!!!

1. Go to Connection, Game Mode Settings (Turn Game Mode On), Game Picture Expert, HDR10+ GAMING: Basic & Game HDR: Basic

2. Go to Picture, Expert Settings, Color, & set

Brightness: 50

Contrast: 44

Sharpness: 10

Color: 15

Contrast Enhancer: Off, (HDR Tone Mapping: Static for more accuracy & dynamic range / Active for more full screen brightness).

Color Tone Warm 2,

Gamma: ST.2084 -2

Shadow Detail -2

Peak Brightness: High.

3.  Under White Balance Set (Note panel variance means 100% accuracy between all panels may not be possible, but in my testing they are typically close).

R-Gain: 1

G-Gain: 0

B-Gain: -8

R-Offset: 4

G-Offset: 0

B-Offset: -4

4. Under Color Space Settings Set Color Space: Custom & Color Gamut: BT.2020. (Note panel variance means 100% accuracy between all panels may not be possible, but in my testing they are typically close).

Color: Red

Red: 11

Green: 87

Blue: 33

Color: Green

Red: 100

Green: 0

Blue: 24

Color: Blue

Red: 42

Green: 67

Blue: 50

5. Set Windows SDR Content Brightness to 100%.

6.  Make Sure 10bit Color is Enabled in the Nvidia Control Panel under "Change resolution"

7. Set Dynamic Range to Full.

sRGB Calibration: NOTE FOR SOME REASON USING THE BT.2020 COLOR SPACE IN HDR LOCKS OUT ALL COLOR CHANGES IN SDR EXCEPT COLOR INTENSITY ON MY CURRENT FIRMWARE. IF THIS IS THE CASE FOR YOU NONE OF THE RGB CHANGES YOU MAKE WILL DO ANYTHING AND COLOR MIGHT NEED TO BE REDUCED FROM 25 TO 13-15. ADDITIONALLY I HAVE INCLUDED AN ICC PROFILE TO HELP CORRECT IT IN sRGB. THIS PROFILE MUST ONLY BE USED IF YOU ARE HAVING MY SAME ISSUE.

Color: (25 is fine. More testing may be needed) MIGHT NEED TO DROP TO 13-15 IF FACING COLOR ISSUE AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

Contrast Enhancer: Off

Color Tone Warm 2

Gamma: 2.2

Peak Brightness: High.

3. White Balance (Note panel variance means 100% accuracy between all panels may not be possible, but in my testing they are typically close).

R-Gain: 0

G-Gain: 0

B-Gain: -8

R-Offset: 2

G-Offset: 0

B-Offset: -3

4. Color Space Settings: Custom & BT.709 (Note panel variance means 100% accuracy between all panels may not be possible, but in my testing they are typically close).

Color: Red

Red: 50

Green: 53

Blue: 50

Color: Green

Red: 50

Green: 100

Blue: 59

Color: Blue

Red: 58

Green: 37

Blue: 50

5.  Make Sure 10bit Color is Enabled in the Nvidia Control Panel under "Change resolution"

6. Set Dynamic Range to Full.

7. Install ICC Profile ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE sRGB COLOR ISSUE DESCRIBED ABOVE AFTER SWAPPING HDR TO BT.2020
