What is AI, page 9.

I am not utopian about capitalism. I know it needs altering BUT I am extremely suspicious of reformers. I think they will burn the house down to roast a pig.

Thing is, the way AI is rapidly improving it could unemploy more people than all the previous tech disruptions combined. Add to that the growing wealth disparity between the .1% and everyone else in the world, how governments are ignoring climate change and Project 2025 wanting to eliminate all safety nets, it's something in-between a fallacy and exaggeration. Regardless of the nomenclature used there needs to be discussions of what is going to happen and what we should do to mitigate the social damage, which won't happen if current trends force us into extremes of "AI is evil! Attack everyone who uses it!" and "AI is fantastic and needs no further thought of cause and effect." I've seen many anti-AI rants that exhibit existential paranoia with very little (if any) understanding of how AI works, and a few (far fewer) AI evangelism prophecies with no comprehension of how it could negatively affect society. Hopefully this comic will be a plank in the rickety rope bridge of understanding between the two factions. https://i.ibb.co/dbF9Jtn/Happy-Little-Mushroom-Clouds.png

I've actually put a bunch of thought into this concept. The only reason anything really costs something is because at some point a human needed to be paid to make it exist. If you completely remove humans from the stack (from the ground to your plate) then the cost of the thing should approach 0.

Sounds like a slippery slope fallacy there.
