The Lorax. the relentless advancement of progress without any thought to the world being ravaged and tramped underfoot, or the desolate mess at the end of such a course that leaves you without the very things you were so dependent on to function because you callously devoured them instead of taking the slower path to work with and cultivate them so that they prospered alongside you.
