Regardless of being "born" or "built", when you create something that possesses intelligence, learning, and choice, you are essentially that creation's "parent" and responsible for its care and upbringing to guide its development. Take it from somebody who does it for a hobby. More than a quarter of the lifeforms that populate my mini-world-tree home were created by these two hands. And I can honestly say that I'm proud of how each one turned out.
