Unfortunately wealth and influence just requires the ability to manipulate the masses. The Nazi belief system fits that well - you tell the "downtodden" masses that their lives aren't skittles and beer not because they are morons, but because "THEY" are keeping them down, and "THEY" need to be overthrown. And if you ARE a successful person, it is obviously because YOU are simply better than everybody else, and every success was entirely due to your innate superiority, and not from any help from other or luck.
