Pleasure Boosters chapter 2, page 1.
Added 2023-05-28 18:38:23 +0000 UTCBack in the late 80's, early 1990's, there was an annoying babification trend going around in animation circles. Disney babies, Rugrats, Muppet babies, even (ughh!) Warner babies. I did NOT need to see Bugs Bunny in a diaper. So I parodied them with "P0rno Babies", a stable of friends who teach important life lessons through mostly sex. They were a surprise hit - I couldn't keep the comics in stock. It seemed that happy, innocent humping was an under-served market. There was even a fan club!
But as the 20-teens hit, I had to change their name to "Pleasure Boosters", because gibbering PC goblins had joined forces with the joyless blue-noses to mark anything to do with sex as child pronography, and persecute the authors of such out of business. Just as an example, I can't even type the word "p0rn" here, for fear of setting off Patreon's Puritan algorithm.
Anytoot, this morning I got a text from a friend who seemed to regard the name change as a "gotcha" opportunity - "Haa haa, you said these guys had always been called Pleasure Boosters!"
No, no, I had not. I resented having to change the name, and as soon as the PC pinheads' power wanes, I'm changing it back to the original title.
But this exchange reminded me of the good ol' PB's, so I think I'll run this chapter from their early adventures for this upcoming month of Sundays, both for nostalgic fun, and as a middle finger to the creepy incel cretins who would do away with them.

Then, as they become commercialized, they start playing to The Folks With The Money, who as a rule are terribly conservative and Simply Will Have No Truck With That Sort Of Thing. So, the services start tightening up - first "weird" stuff, then more and more vanilla until Sex Itself Is Not Allowed. This is usually followed by the masses moving on to the next big thing that does allow porn. That's why my advice to anybody like Karno is to realize the wheel turns, and always have another wheel to jump to and to make sure the fans can find the new wheel.
