The Rival, part 27.

A small flash of eldritch fire, and Sid is no longer a wizard. You can argue about the morality of it, but me? There's some memories I'd pay money to have wiped from my brain.

....On the other hand, you could argue that our minds and personalities are made from an accumulation of memories. Who knows what consequences ripping some of them out could have?

It's good she has such a strong yet sensitive moral compass . . . it's one of her best controls for such incredible levels of power.

It is good that she didn't go for the Stalin Solution 'No people, no problems'

So worried. O.O Did she just 'awaken' his greed to a whole new level? What if one of his major magic themed memories involved something else that was super important to his daily life? @.@ Is she going to actually give him some gold/money just to ensure he doesn't somehow rediscover magic? He learned some of it once, he certainly could again under the right circumstances. O.O

Ever watch the anime Death Note? Not the Netflix movie, never watch that.

Ghost in the Shell has brought up the point that we and our memories are being maniplulated and changed every day, something that is not Science Fiction, but also happens already. Sometimes we let this happen and sometimes even want it, as reflected with you wanting to get rid of some memories of your own.

The very fact that it bothers Mink to have done that, bodes well for her continued positive alignment.
