Pre-industrial Justice (assuming there ever was such a thing) tended to be on the harsh side. And for all his faults, Doc Dee is not a cruel man.

Hmmmm. And I suppose I'd better make this "Patrons Only" because of the Doc's whang hanging out. I'm honestly losing track what's forbidden to show and what's OK, these days. "Decency standards" were arbritary to begin with, and now it's just confusing.

"Potion sickness", what's that supposed to mean? Hmm, yeah, most pre-modern judicial punishments tended towards fines or corporal punishment of some kind. And sometimes you could be sold into slavery if you couldn't pay.

So Dr. Dee is going to ad-lib a punishment, just like he'd whip up a new potion? (* waits with bated breath*)
