2016-07-26 04:52:27 +0000 UTCThe look on her face in panels 2 & 3 confirm that she'll never become like Barecki (or whoever that arch-mage was), she feels the full weight of taking a life, even if it was justified, even if she was stunned and incoherent at the time, with only her subconscious running her body in 'survival' mode. I also understand Melody's bloodlust; she never met the rapists, they're not 'real' to her, and these 'not-quite -people' hurt her friend. Here's also some subtle irony here; Melody, the one who helps to keep Mink grounded, the one who acts as her conscience, is the one talking murder, while Mink is trying to talk Melody down.
