Added 2015-10-05 14:45:04 +0000 UTCAnybody know how to get a Mac Mini to admit that the Mustek scanner plugged into it actually exists? The new Macs seem to be real snobs when it comes to peripherals. But I got art to scan, so I gotta find a way to get 'em to talk to each other.
Today's page is mostly wish fulfillment. I have often wished for the power to heal my loved ones. It sure would beat my present option: Just standing there, watching them suffer.

My mini did not recognize an external dvd until I typed something in at the command line. For some reason, a lot of peripherals are needlessly disabled. It's not the mac way, damnit! Google like crazy and hopefully you'll find it.

My grandmothers cancer was cruel, it cause the peritoneum (the membrane that holds your organs in place) to go berserk and grow causing scar tissue to form that eventually crushed her organs. No adult, child, human, animal, being...well maybe bugs and politicians should suffer that.
