Process: Orc School Girl

The process is quite simple, using the usual gray scale technique and adding the colors in multiply mode so that the gray values change the color values and adapt to obtain shades and color combinations.

If you add a gradient filter with warm colors to the gray base before the color layers, you can get warmer colors in the final result of the colors.

You can see the process on my twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/642649442

if you see in the third step the gray base is not gray because I added a gradient map filter that has warm and cold colors, that makes the final colors in the other layers more vivid.

I think I get it. Granted my knowledge of digital art and how the program works is limited to what I see in streams. Although thank you for explaining.

After you draw the base in gray, you create a new layer in multiply mode and add the colors, this makes it adapt to the values of the layer in grayscale.

It is little difficult to explain, I just uploaded the PSD file of this drawing: https://www.patreon.com/posts/psd-file-orc-38309953
