It is a hidden gem and I think people will be slowly discovering it over the years to come

Vojta Ja

I was genuinely surprised how good the D&D movie was. I saw it reluctantly and really enjoyed myself. It’s essentially a magical heist movie that’s way more clever than it had any right to be. I feel like the guys might like it but I totally understand skepticism towards it.

Praelia Alexia

I hope this is a children's suicide video.

The Real Zam

Yeah… but it’s a children’s film. I didn’t expect much. It’s just …. Blah. Nothing memorable about it.

Daniel

I bet it would be a Re:View.

Daniel

Good lord. Aren't there any Milwaukee-area theaters that care about the audience experience? Last night I saw a double feature of "Practical Magic" and "Vampyros Lesbos" at the Music Box in Chicago, with a live recreation of the Vampyros Lesbos nightclub scene. Not a cell phone to be seen, at least until the credits started. I made the four-hour trip because I'm a freak and because I like that the Music Box shows things on film, but you're professional movie reviewers. Make an effort.

Late Night with the Devil screened at the Melbourne Film Festival this year. The cast and crew were in attendance and held a Q&A afterwards. Pretty fun movie, if you get the chance!

::Slow clap::

When do we get Raging Bull’s Half in the Bag?

Brandon Baker

Jay needs a god damn haircut!

plop

Would Beau Is Afraid work better as a Netflix or Apple TV series?

Alan Grove

Mike: I could watch Raging Bull… but Where’s Rose is on!

Ian Stewart

These are my favorite

The Super Mario Bros movie was the only movie of the ones mentioned or reviewed in this Half in the Bag that I watched. And it was terrible. It is one of those movies that are well made in all or most of its aspects, but the writing is really awful. And the writing is the foundation. Rich Evans having a clapper on his lap is more entertaining than The Super Mario Bros movie. That leads me to: Thank you for being entertaining, Red Letter Media.

Marvin Falz

in an unusual disagreement with you guys, I thought Talk to Me was too young-adultish in all the wrong ways. I did like the Boogeyman though!

Peter Varga

I'll bet Mike, Zack and Jack meet at Starbucks and make fun of imaginary MAGA people that sound more like democrat voters to hear Mike describe them.

David Dean

Also: "Willy's Wonderland" > "Five Shites at Freddy's"

Manuel Johnen

I have this idea for a production company that would make low-quality, direct-to-streaming sequels for dormant franchises. It'll be called... ..."Tubi Continued"

Jeremy _

Me personally, I loved Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Dick the Birthday Boy's corpse's cameo, Jay and Mike directing, Julia Roberts' cameo, Blumhouse, Billy Bob... Movie of the year!

Bill Wilson

Self-deprecating and Rich Evans-deprecating humor? Sign me up!

DimmieDim

"Look at you... sitting there like stuffed apes... sucking on your buttholes..."

Manuel Johnen

Whiny and entitled or responsible for making a thing a "thing" in the first place?

Michael Puttré

Simply delightful, best episode of the year.

Damon Killian

Yay! Work is no longer boring!

THE_GnomeChomskee

Boy, Plinkett reading that list of movies this year filled me with existential dread. I can't even begin to imagine how RLM would feel if they had to review all those movies.

AllGoodNamesRGone

Alright, Jay’s ready to star in the Escape From New York remake.

Jason Cooley

yes!!!

Tom McGraw

Five Nights at Freddy’s? I’m only partially shocked since Jay always finds every horror movie around Halloween on BotW at least “okay” even when no one else likes it. I took my son to it. Being unfamiliar with the game, I could see where there are some interesting elements but it definitely felt like they nerfed the creepy stuff to make it PG-13.

Banta

Yesssssss!!!

Alek

You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!

Isaac Diaz

Good god it’s a Christmas miracle.

Jay
