I see a warehouse sized fire and an insurance claim one day..just destroy it All. Roger Corman

Frazzled Doo

I still remember the context of this joke. Don’t cancel Zam!

Lee Noble

This is remarkable. It feels special.

Daniel

Nice!

Daniel

Maybe it’s a childhood thing but I like the “D” and think all of the subsequent variants look bland. I also think the TOS version looks too much like a prop or toy. But it could just be nostalgia.

Daniel

This thing needs a metal frame and bullet proofglass around it to survive.

Juan Calvo

It looks great! If you ever decide to change the base, I was thinking it would be awesome to paint it in that blackest black paint, and then speckle it in a white gloss or silver paint, to give it the impression that it is in space.

Nada Leona Sheppard

It always struck me as odd that space ships in Trek always varied SO much by species. You'd think that physics would dictate a fairly narrow range of form factors but no apparently there is huge latitude for variable design and engineering from one civilization to another when they each build their advanced interstellar ships.

Jeremy _

Jack, packed in a shipping crate and delivered by UPS.

Jeremy _

thank you for your service, king.

Michael Nuccio

for me it's the original cast movie version that holds a special place. especially since those movies actually treated the ship like a character.

JTruts

The prop room items would benefit from archival, UV shielded fluorescent lights. A clear, poly acrylic coating over the props, MAY repel some of the beer...for awhile.

Damon Killian

Now we just need to find the model of the D that’s haunted by the ghost of Gene Roddenberry. It’s the one from S1 that broke when filming the saucer separation maneuver. Gene haunts you with images of the mother creature from the episode titled “Conspiracy”

The Real Zam

show the hard drive disaster!

Stefan Wilde

What is the weirdest thing you've ever been sent by a fan?

J

As a fan of both your work and prop and set fabrication, I always love these videos. Watching you guys in this and the Gremlin video figure out what you want to accomplish and how is really interesting.

MeleeDuck

Mike has resolved to treat his movie props better, which is why he now only opens the packages with the safest, most precise instrument designed for the purpose, a dollar store steak knife.

Michael Nuccio

That’s a good idea

Gabriel

I thought getting a printing of the explosion large enough to cover the entire backboard would have been a cool addition

Eric

This is excellent. One of my top 5 episodes as well. At first I thought you were going to try to make a wire skeleton to attach the parts of the ship parts you had - like how dinosaur fossils are displayed in a museum when they don’t have a full set.

andrew

As someone who can only dream of owning props from my favorite movies and TV shows, witnessing Mike mistreat theirs in the past was disheartening. So seeing them treat the D with such respect in this video was a nice redemption.

Hayes Johnson

That moment when Mike was pushing the wire against the model… stressful doesn’t begin to describe it

Dion Turner

I'm glad you guys got my toy from childhood. You have my permission to blow it up. Also the STAR TREK figures. Start with the Kazon.

Jason Gravermoen

This video is proof that jay loves caulk.

Ian Stewart

This was a fun watch. The enthusiasm seen here is palpable.

DimmieDim

I hope this is a children’s suicide video.

The Real Zam

Dang, that’s really awesome.

Robyn Nelson

The problem isn’t drywall anchors. The problem is that a lot of drywall is just compressed cotton candy and a half-hearted prayer to Jesus.

Eileen Herbert

The Propa-who?

Michael

Use museum wax for those nacelle tips guys. Better than gravity.

Casey Shermer

I can feel your excitement, but the only Enterprise that gets an emotional reaction out of me is the original as I remember it from TV in the 80s when I was 10 and very impressed by Star Trek. There was something about that ship and how it looked like on TV that was inspiring. The CGI version that came out a couple of years ago doesn't get any near that original feeling, but at least it didn't destroy the series.

Marvin Falz

I was shocked when Jay responded from off camera. I had always assumed that whenever it was a star trek thing, he'd be off editing and listening to john carpenter synth.

Joshua Cubbin

LOVE seeing vids like this and getting a look at the growing prop collection, fellas. The final display looks great!

Rebecca

I also have had to resort to doing an impromptu 'Home Depot 4hr van rental' when I've forgotten that not everything fits in a Honda CRV lol

Kate Gottli

Paint some stars in the background!

Gabriel

I collect a lot of large hand painted / mirrored signs (6ft+) and am ride-or-die for doing wooden French Cleats, with the mounting rack drilled into multiple studs. For the really big pieces I've bought the metal French Cleat kits from home Depot that come with special screws that hold like 150lbs.

Kate Gottli

I figured Rich would drive a pickup truck.

Jon Hollifield

Very cool

Nick Schueren

The 'neck' is referred to as the 'Connecting Interhull'.

Damon Killian

Very awesome. It’s exciting to have a piece of Trek history like that; especially from a memorable episode.

Pete Michaelson

I'm excited for whatever this is

Tomas
