Usually it's like a sign that their heat will start soon. That, or some omegas will nest DURING their heat if they didn't have time to do it before. It's a sort of comfort for them since they're extra emotional and sensitive during this time. Some do, some don't! Genuinely just preference for what you want your character to do. Do they want to be in a place surrounded by their partner(s) scents and be ultra comfortable while dealing with their heat?

2026-01-09 06:59:05 +0000 UTCI think if they know when their cycle is due, they build it in the lead up. Like they have an urge to be surrounded by comfort early on. If its a sudden onset, I feel like they build it during their heat cycle. Depends on the omegaverse though, since they’re all different and some dont even have nesting :( Which is tragic
