Very happy for an excuse to dust off my old bluray of Near Dark. Haven't seen this movie since probably when that bluray was originally released, but I remember really liking it. Love the variety of flicks on reView.

I think I was the Criterion Channel that provided a platform for me to watch Near Dark. They don't just stream movies in the collection and it's a good service for watching movies that aren't in heavy rotation in modern viewing formats.

I recommend watching "Near Dark" as a double feature with "The Lost Boys" - both vampire movies released in the same year, but very different movies: one's popcorn, the other's artsy.

Watched it again last night. It's a solid movie and amazingly well-crafted with an obviously limited budget. Still, I'm amazed to see it now has such cult status. Hope I'll find out in the re:view what I missed.

Near Dark is so great! I watched it after seeing it mentioned on Bravos 101 scariest movie moments back in 2004. The makeup is probably the best thing about that film!

They screened Near Dark at the local indie theater one year, Lance Henricksen was there and we got to meet him and just chat afterwards. Such a good guy, he said working with Bill and Jeanette again right after Aliens was like working with family.

Awesome! I love Near Dark but am amazed it is hard to track down. I mean, it was directed by Kathryn Bigelow of Point Break and Hurt Locker fame. As for Trivia Show ideas, you need to do a Best of the Worst trivia show! Questions centering around all the films you have seen for BOTW. Let's see how much you old farts retain in your memory holes when it isn't Star Trek or David Lynch related.
