Love this episode, and it was unexpected and fun. I felt the same way about the movie when I discovered it as a kid.

I really liked their Re:View together. Better than their last one for sure.

I love Colin and Jim so very much. It's always such a treat when they are on the show. Glad you guys did a bunch of videos while they were here. Cant wait to see the rest.

The French-Canadian accent for the Gold Leader bit was priceless.

As a Canadian its weird to see Canadians explaining things like 'the Beer store' to non-Canadians. Its one of those things thats so mundane here that I never really thought about people not knowing what that is

I love these guys. I’ve avoided videos that don’t include parts of your holy trinity...tried to watch the Josh and Jack BOTW video, too much Portland snark via Milwaukee. The. Canadians have great everything.

This is a very funny review, and I want to point out, much funnier than the actual movie.

I enjoyed seeing Jim and Colin do a real re:View together. Fitting that it was Strange Brew. Good stuff.

This review is comedy gold, eh; keep that Canadian content coming! PS: I can't believe you drank that beer.

Okay I googled and according to interviews, the fake teeth apparently was Max von Sydow's idea. No one seems to know why, tho. But you don't say no to Max von Sydow. Or maybe you should.

This was obviously to fulfill the minimum Canadian content requirement at RLM studios. At least 2 Canadian videos per year. I think we're at four now? That surplus doesn't get RLM out of next year though.

Apparently there is some sort of documentary about SCTV coming out that is directed by Martin Scorcese ... somehow. Will have to check it out.

The scene where they tell the dog Hosehead about the party and he takes off to raid it, flying with a superman cape...that almost killed me when I was a little kid watching Strange Brew. One of the hardest laughs of my life.
I showed that youtube clip to my four year old son the other day and he wasn't nearly so impressed.

Oh man, this is so timely for me. Lately I've been thinking about SCTV and that old cast a lot. I've been watching their clips on youtube and comparing it to their contemporary American counter parts. That old SCTV cast had SO MUCH TALENT, and it's really interesting look back at their work from an historical perspective. It so similar to American comedy at the time and at the same time so different.

It would be interesting to hear what they think about Kids In The Hall's Brain Candy. Aside from the ending where it peter's out a bit, I love that movie.

I've been obsessed with the Toronto-based show Nirvanna The Band The Show and I kept thinking of Canadian comedy and how it shaped my humor as a kid. Saw it it in the original theater run twice and we were pretty much the only ones laughing all the way through. The album was a good run with friends and impressions worked mildly better with girls than Monty Python. Mildly.

Ironically, I've been listening to the 12 Days of Christmas by the McKenzie bros before every RLM video with the Canadians. Kinda disappointing to learn that they aren't real people. (Bob & Doug, I mean, not Jim & Colin.)

Jim mentioned it off handedly once or twice but those bits ended up being cut.

The plot is (loosely, but pretty obviously) based on Hamlet, with the brothers as R&G. Surprised that wasn't discussed - I always thought it was fun that they used Shakespearean tragedy as the basis of this silly boozer comedy.

More quality content! I don't think I've watched SB in more than a decade. I remember coming across that SCtv content when I was a kid. I actually think SCtv is largely better than SNL.

I really don't give $15 a month to get Canadian content, they're both quite boring
