I think they're just outside of that bubble of film criticism, or the general pop vibe that needs to overcharge enthusiasm for media with adjectives like "amazing," "incredible," "best ever." It's also partly the result of getting older and starting to have "seen it all" syndrome. In any case, even if you're joking, don't let this spoil your love for filmmaking.

I think this is the first time I side more with Mike. The movie lost me around the same part and it became a movie where I didn’t know where this was going to I know exactly where the plot is going but not how we were gonna get there, which saved it. Overall it’s a great movie and Toni Collette was fucking fantastic.
