Fake Steven Seagal poster

Nobody seems to have commented on this but in the Blind Fury re:View, Rich rattled off a few Steven Seagal movies and ended with an improvised fake title as a joke. In editing, Jay photoshopped a poster for the fake movie to add to the joke. Maybe it's because it goes by pretty quick but there hasn't been any comments about this, which almost makes it funnier. (The credits at the bottom were lifted from the poster for Barbarella btw)

Fake Steven Seagal poster

Comments

looks pretty realistic compared to half past dead

Mape

I noticed it and chuckled; the word "prone" in a movie title stood out to me

angryponchos

I was too distracted by Rich Evans's 'Sex' hat, what is he, some kind of sex pervert?

atticus

It looks to me like Segal is actually doing some acting here in that poster. :)

Computer-Dude

Yeah I knew it was fake and thought it was funny. I didn't realize I was required to comment on it

VHS VCR

I noticed that he didn't seem to have that "bad-ass" stare like the other ones, but that's it. Well played JAY.

Josh Clark

Should add a dead puppy to the poster.

John Haythorn

And who's the babe!? (not Seagal)

Peter Short

I knew it had to be a made up title but the poster did throw me off for a second. In fact, I don't trust half the things you guys put up on my screen. Fake movie news.

Peter Short

oh wow. suddenly Prone To Violence isnt such a bad movie title

I did chuckle at it. Thought to myself "theres no way someone would call a movie that..."

I did go "That must be before he became popular."

Kenneth A.

but it has to be rea! It just HAS TO!

That kind of stood out as a little odd when I saw it but figured he made so many generic action movies back then that it was totally plausible.

Kyle Williams

You lied? On the Internet? Why would you do that?!

James King

He made 7 movies last year. I think he sat in the same chair for all of them.

John Radoff

Honestly that slipped right past me. Taking his recent work into account, "Prone to Violence" isn't an unlikely title either. He'd probably just sit around during the whole film tho.

John Boltons Mustache

What are you hack frauds talking about? This IS real. I done seen it with my face binoculars (eyes).

Rob Marland

Your subtlety is what makes you great!

Bryan Mcghee

Wait, you mean I will never be able to see this?! NOOOOOOOO

Stephen Bay

They check the Patreon comments board pretty often. I've never had difficulty when I had something to ask.

Ken

Nobody noticed because all of Steven Seagal's posters are fake http://i.imgur.com/A9mttCy.jpg

John Radoff

Its like when China reports an article from The Onion as real. It just seemed too plausible!

Ken

Dude, fuck yes.

Brandon Quiroga

I assumed it was one of his shitty movies I missed. That's pretty funny it was that convincing.

Jason S

It was a good joke! AND THEN YOU EXPLAINED IT

Alan Papercuts

I saw it, I even paused for the poster; I just didn't get the joke.

Brace110

Hahah that's great. When I heard the title I couldn't remember the movie and thought "That sounds made up" but then I saw the poster and thought "Huh, I guess it's real"

Sean Graham

The line between reality and fantasy has always been slightly blurry when it comes to Steven Seagal.

Gordon Chapman-Fox

The title alone got a chuckle out of me.

James Roberts

I'm not familiar with Steven Seagal filmography but when Rich stated Prone to Violence, I thought it was a rather bizarre title for a movie. Then, I saw the poster and said to myself : WTF? Who would design such a poster when the title of the movie is Prone to Violence? Now, I know who.

I noticed it, but I've given up commenting. I mean, the comments on redlettermedia.com are dead (or at least much reduced) and Youtube is an unceasing stream of muck. I guess I could comment here on Patreon, but Patreon has always been low traffic. Where should we comment to get noticed by Mike & Jay & co.?

Percy Gryce

Ok, to be honest, I laughed when I saw it but then thought "That's no more ridiculous than his other titles so maybe it's real." All of Segal's movies are the same so if I missed one when I was a teenager no biggie. I didn't care to research it. You guys make so many jokes I don't feel the need to call them out. Well done on the poster!

David Anderson

Well it WAS a believable title. Kelly LeBrock was hot, wasn't she?

I saw it and appreciated it. The review was great as it's one of my favs as well.

Bryan Mcghee

*insert “is Steven Seagal replacing blank” joke here*
