The mall car chase in Blues Brothers has so much product placement, it's almost a satire of product placement before it really became a thing.

Man. I would't exactly say that edgy, non-PC 90s LA had Simon Phoenix firmly in hand what with the whole "seizing city blocks, turning them into no-go zones, and requiring John Spartan to jump out of a police chopper" thing. Maybe Simon Phoenix is just a dangerous asshole to have around no matter how PC your society is.

Anyway, I hope Taco Bell at least subscribes to you guys on Patreon.

Product placement stuff: "E.T." was famous for using Reeses Pieces to lure highly intelligent nonhuman beings, and "2001" had Heywood Floyd using AT&T (I think?) to make a call from space. Maybe people thought the Reeses Pieces were adorable instead of annoying...and AT&T in "2001" is good for a laugh because of how little they charged for the call. So yay?

Rocky is a perfect example of how slow and boring films used to be.

I could swear that California Raisins story came up in a previous RLM video. Maybe it's the Mandela effect.

Based on the Stallone films I've seen I'd say the opposite of Rich, as for me this is the closest he came to a "proper" movie, along with First Blood and (I'm guessing) Rocky (as I've still not seen it). P.S. It must have been the UK theatre versions that used Pizza Hut, as all the home video releases I've ever watched (inc VHS) have mentioned Taco Bell... and, yes, we were confused. I think TB has finally dropped here in the UK now though. Alas!

Jack is sporting a SUSD shirt! Hooray! They deserve more support. I heard they've been struggling recently.

Agreed! One of my favorite mindless action movies. This was tongue-in-cheek, over-the-top action done right. This, Road Warrior, Starship Troopers. Re:View is just becoming a compendium of my favorite movies.
