"Rogue One" look out! "Collateral Beauty" is going to bust your box office record. My local multiplex has half the screens allocated to "Collateral Beauty". People have been lining up the past couple days. It's going to be bigger than "After Earth".. I mean... "Independence Day".

2016-12-19 05:16:11 +0000 UTCReading articles on it in the weeks before I couldn't help but get the vibe that someone on their end said "Crap, this isn't a very good movie, I know: MORE DARTH VADER!" because that and "omg gurlz! aznz! see our movie!" seemed the only selling points. Maybe I'm just old and Star Wars'd out.

2016-12-19 02:39:52 +0000 UTCI sure loved how it tried to be a film that was both independent and unique from the saga (tonally at least) while forcibly and heavily shoving references and characters of old into the mix where in at least one case it was just offensive to a real human actor's legacy. And boy were those re-shoots not even remotely evident!
