Eraserhead - re:View

Comments

Probably one of many favourite movie. I watched it for the first in my early twenties and now, about 15 years later I see it in a new light. It is psychologically interesting, in that aspect. On another note, I love Jay and Josh as a duo. Their discussions are always engaging. They also review my type of movies!

when he is walking thru the wasteland im thinking "pork pork in space"

I'm with Jay on just "getting" the movie. I think it speaks to me (as with any parent) in how it describes the hallucinatory tiredness of having very young children, and all the other fears and anxieties that go along with that. Anyway, great show. Always a pleasure to see Josh.

I think it's not so much an issue of time, just streamlining content. The last one probably didn't have enough tangents to warrant a separate extended discussion, and it seems like in the extended version of this video they weren't as focused and needed to streamline the review a little more for the edited release.

Aaron

Oh wait so he had in the latest Best of the Worst he was in

Anders

Yay the Wizard got a beard again!

Eraserhead drove me nuts because I had to see it twice (film class plus a friend who loved it). I still can't stand it (that @#$%& gross baby), but I love the review and will watch it over and over.

Valdis

One of the greatest movies. A little disappointed Mike isn't in this one because he sometimes doesn't like weird shit and it's funny. LOVED the review, though.

Chuck Thompson

I watch this one every year around Halloween. In Heaven, everything is fine!

Ken

Nailed it on the deliberateness. David Lynch couldn't necessarily tell his cast & crew *why* they were doing a particular thing, but he could painstakingly work with them on *what* they needed to do. Everybody had to be laser-focused for five years, and it shows in an undeniable way. Can you imagine a half-assed Eraserhead?

Kurt

This was great, guys. I can't say I love Eraserhead, but I can definitely say that the strangeness compelled me to watch with bated breath. I've never had a movie watching experience like it before.

Why did the previous re:View go for longer and not have an extended discussion, while this one is shorter with an extended discussion?

quenched. Thank you guys :o)
